WebJan 13, 2012 · Earlier this year my dump bed on the NPR stopped working correctly. It won't go up or down by just pressing the buttons on the remote. If I run a wire from the battery to the solenoid the motor will start running and I can control the motion, up or down, with the remote. As long as that wire is connected the motor will run.

WebJul 6, 2007 · Be sure to stay out of the way of it's path. Very slowly loosen the fitting. It wont take much, and you never take it all the way off. You just loosen it enough for fluid to leak out. The slower it leaks, the safer you will be. Then get out of the way and let it lower slowly as the fluid leaks out around the fitting. Eddie

WebFeb 11, 2008 · This could also have been part of the problem if the glow plugs were still cycling, the truck was cold, battery was discharged, and then you put another big load on it by trying to operate the dump. Also, the fluid could have been a little bit thick which makes the electric motor work harder.

I started throwing parts at it by first re-sealing the hydraulic cylinder. That was pretty straight forward however this cylinder was unlike any I have worked on in the past.

WebNov 3, 2008 · My in-cab dump bed valve won't budge after I raise the dump bed to maximum height. I can fix the problem by manually bleeding hyd fluid from one of the two bed lift cylinders. This relief of pressure in that circuit allows the operator to then lower the bed. The bed works fine as long as I don't raise it to absolute max. height.

WebMar 9, 2018 · The warning light (I'm assuming it's the suspension dump light) is just a pressure switch in the line from the dump switch to the leveling valve (or external dump valves). Your dump switch might be bad and allowing air through to dump the bags, which would also trigger the suspension light swtich).
